Studio Photography

Photography has always been a deep passion of mine, complementing and enriching my journey as a graphic designer. This collection showcases a series of studio projects where I collaborated closely with models to create bold, high-concept looks that convey attitude, texture, and strong visual impact.

Using strobe lighting, I exercised precise control over exposure, depth, and atmosphere—intentionally shaping light to highlight both the subject and styling. The controlled studio environment provided the ideal setting to craft dramatic compositions that emphasize presence, detail, and mood.

This body of work reflects a harmonious blend of creative direction, styling, and technical execution, demonstrating how my background in graphic design informs my photographic storytelling—producing compelling visuals that resonate strongly in an editorial context.

Production of a set of photographs using reflective objects as subjects

This project is a visual study of how light and reflection reshape form. Through intentional direction and composition, each image highlights symmetry, distortion, and depth, inviting viewers to engage with space and perspective in unexpected ways.

By precisely controlling lighting and working with reflective materials, I manipulated balance and dimension to create mirror-like compositions where subject and environment converge. The result is a series of bold, concept-driven visuals that merge technical precision with immersive, futuristic styling.

Occupied

This photography project is a creative exploration of transforming overlooked, transitional, and utilitarian spaces into surreal, immersive environments. From sterile elevator interiors and forgotten corners of public buildings to hidden catwalks above theater stages reimagined as high-fashion runways, each scene is carefully restaged to become a compelling visual narrative.

The lighting was carefully crafted to give each image a strong presence, enhancing the mood and emphasizing the unique character of these unconventional settings.

Through Occupied, I delve into the intersection of editorial aesthetics and environment, using unexpected spaces to challenge conventional beauty and storytelling. This body of work reflects my passion for pushing creative boundaries—turning limitations into opportunities and inviting viewers to see the extraordinary in the everyday.

Still Life: Light & Form

This project is a study in sculpting visual narrative through lighting. By experimenting with light direction and ratios, I crafted a series of still-life compositions that emphasize form, texture, and emotional tone.

Each element in the frame was lit to strike a balance between highlight and shadow, allowing subtle shifts in depth and surface to emerge. The resulting images demonstrate the power of controlled lighting to shape not only the subject but the overall atmosphere, showcasing a nuanced understanding of light as both a technical tool and a storytelling medium.

One image from this series was honored with a Merit Award in the Skyway Art Competition, recognizing the technical skill and creative vision behind the work.

Chicago: A Study in Architecture

Captured in the architectural heart of Chicago, this series explores the dynamic interplay between light and structure, transforming the cityscape into a study of contrast and form that reveals the city’s urban geometry.

Through strategic framing and the use of natural light, I isolated the vertical rhythm of the buildings, introducing a sense of scale and stillness that invites quiet reflection. This body of work embraces a minimalist yet bold visual language, distilling the complexity of Chicago’s architecture into a series of contemplative, architectural portraits.
