Studio Photography

Photography has always been an important part of my creative journey, continuously shaping the way I approach design and visual storytelling. This section features a selection of studio projects developed through close collaboration with models, where I worked on styling and shaping ideas and concepts to create different scenarios.

Working with strobe lighting gave me control over light and atmosphere, helping me shape the look and feeling of each setup.

These projects reflect my interest in photography, styling, and art direction while also showing how my background in graphic design influences the way I think and create. I’m always creating ideas in my head and exploring different ways to bring them to life.

MaRDI LOVE
AD CAMPAIGN

Creative direction, concept development, and photography.

Inspired by the textures, tones, and landscape of San Luis Potosí, MX. The campaign focused on creating imagery that felt organic, grounded, and emotionally connected to the brand’s identity.
The intention behind this campaign was to reconnect with the brand’s roots and celebrate where it all began.

Using natural light, movement, earthy tones, and a refined yet raw aesthetic, the project aimed to capture both the evolution of the brand and the spirit behind it. This became a visual story about growth, identity, and honoring the place that shaped the brand.

As Mardilove continues expanding its presence within the fashion industry — including participating in New York Fashion Week this year — this project became a celebration of the brand’s growth, roots, and evolving identity.

I’m incredibly proud of how it all came together and of the visual world we were able to create around the brand.

Pineda Covalin Runway Photography

I was asked to photograph the latest runway presentation for Pineda Covalin at the Leonora Carrington Museum.

It was an exciting opportunity to document one of Mexico’s most recognized luxury fashion brands. I focused on the movement, textures, silhouettes, and details of the new collection from statement dresses to accessories and handbags

These are some of my favorite images from the show, and I truly loved being part of an event representing one of Mexico’s most iconic fashion houses.

Reflections

This project explores the way light and reflection can change the perception of form and space. By experimenting with symmetry, distortion, and perspective, I wanted to create images that felt unexpected and visually dynamic.

Using reflective materials and carefully controlled lighting, I played with balance, depth, and composition to blur the relationship between the subject and the surrounding space. The final images combine experimental setups with a futuristic aesthetic shaped through lighting and styling.

Occupied

Explores how ordinary, often overlooked spaces can be completely transformed through styling, lighting, and perspective. Elevators, forgotten corners of public buildings, and even hidden catwalks above theater stages became the setting for images that feel immersive and slightly unexpected. Spaces designed to go unnoticed were reimagined as places with presence and personality.

With Occupied, I wanted to blur the line between editorial photography and everyday spaces, finding visual potential in places people usually pass by without a second look.

Lighting played a key role throughout the project, shaping the atmosphere of each image and bringing out the character of these unconventional environments. The project became an exercise in turning limitations into opportunities and rethinking how environment can shape a story.

This project became one of my favorites because it gave me the freedom to fully trust my ideas and push them further than I normally would. It allowed me to turn bold concepts and unexpected ideas into real projects without overthinking or holding back. That creative freedom pushed me to experiment, take risks, and develop work in a way that felt instinctive and exciting.

Still Life:
Light & Form

This project began as an exploration of light and the way it can completely change how we experience an object. Inspired by museum visits and classical still-life paintings, I became interested in the way light interacts with texture, surfaces, and form. The way light can draw attention, create atmosphere, or completely shift the feeling of an image became the starting point for this series.

By experimenting with light direction and ratios, I created a series of still-life compositions focused on shape, texture, and mood. Each setup was carefully lit to create a balance between shadow and light, allowing depth and texture to emerge naturally.

One photograph from this series received a Merit Award in the Skyway Art Competition, recognizing the creative approach and technical precision behind the work.

Chicago

A Study in Architecture

Captured in the architectural heart of Chicago, this series explores contrast, perspective, and form through the city’s architecture. The idea behind this project was to portray Chicago’s buildings with a sense of timelessness, using light and composition to create images that feel detached from a specific place or moment.

By playing with contrast and framing, I wanted viewers to experience these buildings from unexpected perspectives, creating compositions where you are not always entirely sure where you are. Looking back at this project, I think it reveals a lot about my background in design, especially in the way I approach composition, balance, and structure within an image.

This became one of my favorite series to work on. It developed over six months of walking, exploring, and seeing the city from different angles. It taught me to slow down, pay attention, and find new ways of seeing familiar spaces.

This one’s my favorite.
